Employer Fundraising

There are a number of ways that your business and your staff can support our Appeal:

Corporate Friend Scheme

Our Corporate Friend scheme is an ideal way for you to support the Cathedral Appeal and benefit from a number of rather unusual and exclusive opportunities for your clients and staff. These are some of the benefits we offer:

• Various tours of the Cathedral and the Precincts; including Bell Harry Tower, educational and tours of the ongoing conservation work.
• Co-operation between the Appeal and your company; including links between websites, invitations to selected receptions and opportunities to sponsor Appeal events.
• Discounts on dining/banqueting facilities, bed and breakfast at the Canterbury Cathedral Lodge and free entry to the Cathedral and the Precincts to selected numbers of your staff.

There are three different schemes on offer to suit all budgets. Gold, for donations over £10,000 per annum, Silver over £5,000 per annum and Bronze over £1,000 per annum. You can read about the scheme in detail here

Give as you earn

Payroll giving is a tax-efficient way of giving to the Save Canterbury Cathedral Appeal from your gross pay. Making a monthly donation is quick and easy just decide how much you want to give each month. If you want to give £10, you will only need to donate £8.00 as HM Revenue and Customs gives the Appeal the extra £2.00 at the basic rate of tax. Employee volunteering

Many organisations now encourage their staff to take part in volunteering activities within their local community. It is great for staff morale and can be very fulfilling. Some organisations even have an allowance of time each year during which staff are allowed to undertake community activities. We are always keen to welcome new volunteers to support the Appeal and welcome all sorts of skills. Please see out section on Volunteering to find out more.

Other ways to support us

There are other ways you can support the Appeal without having to donate financially. All forms of support are most welcome.

Put up a poster

Help us raise awareness about the Appeal by putting a poster up.

Leaflet display

If you have the general public coming into your place of work we could provide you with a small leaflet display stand and leaflets for your customers to take.

Place a collection box

If you are thinking about having our leaflets then why not also consider having one of our collection boxes on your reception or counter. We will empty it for you so no need to worry about handling money and you are not responsible should the box be stolen.

Retail support

If you are a retail outlet why not consider asking customers to take a leaflet when they have made a purchase or put a leaflet in their bag with their purchase.

Joint Mailings

If you send out mailings to your customers you could consider including an appeal leaflet in your mailing.
