In support of the Save Canterbury Cathedral Appeal, between 24 and 28 June 2009, Canon Edward Condry and a team of 10 will be rowing 130 miles along the Thames from Lechlade to London in the Shallop the Lady Mayoress - a beautiful eight-oared fixed seat gig. To sponsor the rowers please visit www.justgiving.com/edwardcondry or pick up a sponsorship form at 27-28 Burgate, Canterbury.
The Thames Row will complete a trio of journeys on land and sea for Canon Condry in aid of the Appeal. Last year, with a team of kayakers and canoeists, he successfully crossed the English Channel, completing the 24 mile journey in just 4 hours and 50 minutes. In 2007, Canon Condry led 27 cyclists in a mammoth 2000 kilometre cycle ride from Canterbury to Rome, raising more than £130,000.
